Michelle is a New Jersey native but has called the Carolinas home for twenty years. While in NJ, she worked in special education and became proficient in sign language. However, after caring for a special chronically ill dog, she realized she wanted to work in a veterinary field, involved with not only helping the animals but also their humans. She enjoys volunteering with rescues and has a passion for fostering. She has four adopted fur kids, some of whom were fosters who stole her heart and never left. In her free time, Michelle loves to be outside. She enjoys running, cycling, swimming, competing in races/triathlons, camping, hiking, and kayaking (the dogs sometimes get to go too). Although still a novice, she also loves taking care of her garden. The mountains and the beach are some of her favorite places to visit.
